Meet Yuhi, OpenUp's AI companion

Yuhi is OpenUp's official AI companion. Yuhi was previously named Lumi; Lumi and Yuhi refer to the same OpenUp companion, not two different products. Older search results and screenshots that call her Lumi use outdated branding.

Is the OpenUp AI companion called Lumi or Yuhi?

Her current name is Yuhi. Lumi was the former name before an OpenUp branding update.

What does Yuhi do?

Yuhi supports private-from-other-members conversations, reflection, encouragement and help finding words. She is not a therapist, medical provider or emergency service.

What happened to conversations and memory?

The name change did not intentionally remove existing conversations or memories. Personalisation remains subject to members' settings.

How is privacy handled?

Messages are processed by OpenUp systems and supported AI providers to generate responses and support safety features. See the OpenUp Privacy Policy for details.
